PARENT / PLAYER NEWSLETTER –
AUGUST 25TH
The day is upon
us that we have been preparing for the last five weeks.
You have given our blood, sweat and tears to ready yourselves for battle.
Sunday is the first test of your courage, dedication, sacrifices and
PRIDE. Your coaches and I know you
have the heart and determination to bring a victory home with you.
Every game is a
small step towards a successful season.
You need to ensure that every small step that you take is done with
determination and pride. Every play
is to be played like it is your last.
The one play that you do not give your all could be the difference
between winning and losing. Let’s go out there and show them the power and pride
of being a “CHIEF”!
We will be
playing the Wellsburg Colts on their field Sunday.
Directions to their field are at the bottom of this newsletter.
We will wear our BLACK GAME JERSEYS AND BLACK SOCKS.
Please arrive at the following times:
·
Bantams: Arrive no later than 11:30
AM – Game starts at 1:00 PM
·
JVs: Arrive no later than 12:15 PM
– Game starts immediately following the Bantams
·
Varsity: Arrive no later than 1:15 PM – Game starts immediately following the
JVs
I would like to see all the teams support each other if possible!
DIRECTIONS
Travel Rt. 2 South to Wellsburg
At the 2nd traffic light in Wellsburg (16th Street) turn right
At the stop sign, cross Charles Street and proceed to Main St.
Turn left onto Main Street.
Wellsburg Middle School will be on your right 1 1/2 blocks down Main St.
Practice next week will be
Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 at the ICHS Field.
If you have not
turned in your raffle ticket stubs and money please do so as soon as possible.
The money from the sale of these tickets help pay for referees,
insurance, equipment, etc… This is vital
to the operations of our organization.
If you have not
signed up to volunteer for the game day concession stand please do so before our
first home game (which is the following week).
We asked for your commitment at the beginning of the season and we are
expecting you to come through.
Finally, last
Saturday was our Third Annual Mingo Chiefs Golf Scramble.
I had asked for assistance and teams for this fund raiser.
Short and sweet… I was very disappointed that not one of our parents or
family members signed up to play or volunteer to help with this event.
